A collection of <\/span><b>photographs, posters and historic postcards and a collection of miniatures<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the <\/span><b>pasos<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (platform on which religious images are carried in processions) during the <\/span><b>Easter Week in Tarragona<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> provide a cultural and artistic account of this religious event in the Archdiocese and especially in the city of Tarragona. Finally, the space has a polychrome chalk <\/span><b>sculpture<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of <\/span><b>Cardinal Francesc d&#8217;Ass\u00eds Vidal i Barraquer<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Of particular note are the <\/span><b>Gothic and Renaissance chapels<\/b> <b>with works by Josep M. Jujol and Josep M. Martisella<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, as well as the figures of the saints, reinterpreted by Josep Maria Jujol, and objects such as the <\/span><b>chalice of the Catholic Monarchs<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Inside there is a <\/span><b>Gothic altarpiece<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and pieces by Josep M. With an initially <\/span><b>Romanesque floor plan<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from 1153 and a <\/span><b>Baroque style temple<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from 1742, it stands out for its <\/span><b>venerated images<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and as the <\/span><b>starting point<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tarragonaturisme.cat\/ca\/esdeveniments\/processo-sant-enterrament\"><b>Holy Burial Procession <\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">every <\/span><b>Good Friday, recognised as a Heritage Element of National Interest.<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Inside it <\/span><b>houses<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the figure of the Sant Crist de la Sang and three mysteries: The Solitude, The Flagellation and the Christ of the Penitents.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Visiting hours<\/strong> during Lent<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Friday, from 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm; Saturday, from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm. It preserves Romanesque and late <\/span><b>Romanesque remains<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and has a documentary mention of the year 1154. Despite being small, it is notable for its <\/span><b>decorated altars<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. It was modernised in 2008 after a desecration suffered in 1816.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is currently the canonical headquarters of the <\/span><b>Jesus of Nazareth Royal Brotherhood <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and houses its three pasos: Jes\u00fas de Nazaret, El Cirineu and Jes\u00fas Despullat de les seves vestidures.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Visiting hours<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: The church, which is not usually open to the public, is open from 23rd to 30th March 2024 from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm and from 5.30 pm to 8.30 pm.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-a89b3969 wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button has-custom-width wp-block-button__width-75 is-style-outline is-style-outline--4\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-white-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/my.matterport.com\/show\/?m=32C57Jrnx1f&amp;qs=1\" style=\"border-radius:100px\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Discover<b> SANT MIQUEL DEL PLA&nbsp;<\/b><b>&nbsp;<\/b>in 3D<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>SANT AGUST\u00cd CHURCH<\/b><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The San Agust\u00ed church, built in 1576 after the permission of the chapter of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tarragonaturisme.cat\/en\/route-point\/cathedral\">Holy Cathedral<\/a>, was completed in the following century despite financial difficulties. It is notable for its <\/span><b>Baroque fa\u00e7ade<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with a portal and bell towers and, inside, it houses a funerary crypt and a tombstone.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Sant Agust\u00ed Church, the historic headquarters of ecclesiastical entities, stands out as <\/span><b>the space with the most Holy Week content, exhibiting 10 pasos<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem, Holy Supper, The Prayer in the Garden, You Watch and Pray, Taking of Jesus, Holy Ecce Homo, Our Father Jesus of the Passion, Descent from the Cross, Return from Calvary and Holy Burial) of the 7 entities without their own church all year round.
