In it, we can see some customers that are being inadvertently recorded while becoming victims of a joke and, as a result of that, the real protagonists of the advertisement. <\/p>\n<p>In recent years, ads, films and video clips, among other audio-visual productions, have experienced an outstanding growth in the city. <strong>Tarragona<\/strong> is a trendy set. In fact, a part from <strong>Barcelona<\/strong> and <strong>l\u2019Hospitalet de Llobregat<\/strong>, <strong>Tarragona<\/strong> has consolidated \u2013for the third consecutive year\u2013 as the third Catalan city with the highest number of productions and shootings in a whole year. In this sense, the role played by the <strong>Tarragona Film Office<\/strong>, managed by <strong>Txell Roig<\/strong>, has become crucial. <\/p>\n<p>From 2010, the moment when the <strong>Tarragona Film Office<\/strong> started managing the shootings and photo sessions in the city, the number of productions has increased from 19, in 2010, to 101, last year. Despite this, one of the main aspects to <strong>Txell Roig<\/strong> is that, instead of simply paying attention to the actual number of recordings, we should take into account what is actually being recorded in the city. Thus, <strong>Tarragona<\/strong> has become the set for films with well-known actors, as well as for very relevant ads. For example, <em><strong>Segon Origen<\/strong><\/em>, initially directed by <strong>Bigas Luna<\/strong> before his death, and finished afterwards by <strong>Carles Porta<\/strong>; the actors <strong>Sergi L\u00f3pez<\/strong> and <strong>Rachel Hurd-Wood<\/strong> recorded last year a number of sequences at Platja Llarga and a local campsite; and, finally, the director from Tarragona <strong>Anna Bofarull<\/strong> chose her city for the recording of <em><strong>Sonata per a violoncel<\/strong><\/em>, which includes renowned Spanish actors such as <strong>Juanjo Puigcorb\u00e9<\/strong>, <strong>Marina Salas<\/strong>, <strong>Montse Germ\u00e1n<\/strong> or <strong>Jan Cornet<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tarragonaexperience.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/making-of-Lays-Txell-Roig-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"1487\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.tarragonaexperience.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/making-of-Lays-Txell-Roig-1-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"making of &#039;Lay&#039;s&#039; - \u00a9Txell Roig\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1487\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tarragonaexperience.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/making-of-Lays-Txell-Roig-1-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.tarragonaexperience.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/making-of-Lays-Txell-Roig-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.tarragonaexperience.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/making-of-Lays-Txell-Roig-1.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For what advertising is concerned, <strong>Tarragona<\/strong> become a key destination thanks to the ad of the fragrance <strong>The One Sport<\/strong> by <strong>Dolce &#038; Gabbana<\/strong>, shot inside <strong>Tarraco<\/strong>\u2019s Amphitheatre. This year, the very same spot has been chosen as the set for the latest ad for the Catalan beer <strong>Estrella Damm<\/strong>, tittled <em>Entrena l\u2019\u00e0nima<\/em> (literally, train the soul). On the last days of 2014, <strong>Tarragona<\/strong> was again chosen as the main set for yet another key advertisement, this time for the crisps brand Lay\u2019s, which included images of the <strong>Part Alta<\/strong> and the <strong>Cathedral<\/strong>, while telling the story behind the ringing of bells that is carried out every year on New Year\u2019s Eve, dedicated to the will for peace in the world.<\/p>\n<p>The most requested spots for shootings are the <strong>Amphitheatre<\/strong>, the <strong>Forum<\/strong>, the <strong>Circus<\/strong> and the <strong>Walls<\/strong>, <strong>Casa Castellarnau<\/strong>, and also the streets of <strong>Part Alta<\/strong>, the beaches, the so-called <strong>Vial Bryant<\/strong>, and the industrial area nearby the <strong>Port<\/strong>. However it is, <strong>Tarragona<\/strong> has become key to advertising agents, directors, and audio-visual producers, as an excellent recording set, equipped with a great variety of sceneries and resources.
