The Tarragona Shrimp<\/strong> has become queen, at last. Twenty-four restaurants \u2013the very best of the city\u2013 will take part in the so-called I Tarragona Shrimp Gastronomic Days<\/strong>, on March 13 \u2013 29; an event set by Tarragona Gastron\u00f2mica<\/strong> and Adernats<\/strong>, together with the Confraria de Pescadors<\/strong> and Port de Tarragona<\/strong>. It is therefore paying tribute to the Tarragona Shrimp<\/strong>, one of the products provided by the Mediterranean Sea<\/strong> and Tarragona<\/strong> with the highest quality, and which you will have a unique chance to try in a number of proposals at three different price levels during 16 days.<\/p>\n

From the 24 restaurants taking part, 20 (Al Natural<\/strong>, Barquet<\/strong>, Cocvla<\/strong>, Degvsta<\/strong>, De Vins<\/strong>, La Cantonada<\/strong>, Lola Tapes<\/strong>, Passad\u00eds<\/strong>, Sadoll Restaurant<\/strong>, Sirco Airlines<\/strong> and Xamfr\u00e0 del F\u00f2rum<\/strong>, Ares<\/strong>, Balandra<\/strong>, El Llagut<\/strong>, El Terrat<\/strong>, Palau del Bar\u00f3<\/strong>, Rac\u00f3 de l\u2019Abat<\/strong>, Txar3verd<\/strong>, AQ Restaurant<\/strong> and Xaloc<\/strong>) will offer a 15\u20ac dish, consisting of 150g of boiled or grilled Tarragona Shrimp<\/strong>, together with 2 glasses of wine or cava<\/em> Adernats<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Then, we have 8 restaurants (\u00c0pats Quattros<\/strong>, Ares, Balandra<\/strong>, El Llagut<\/strong>, El Terrat<\/strong>, Palau del Bar\u00f3<\/strong>, Rac\u00f3 de l\u2019Abat<\/strong>, Txar3verd<\/strong>) providing 38\u20ac menus, consisting of a starter, three Tarragona Shrimp<\/strong> main courses, dessert and half a bottle of wine or cava<\/em> Adernats<\/strong> (one bottle for every 2 menus). In these 38\u20ac menus, one can find creative proposals such as the so-called \u201cmar i muntanya\u201d by \u00c0pats Quattros<\/strong> or their \u201cShrimp with perol sausage and baby cuttlefish\u201d; \u201cShrimp wrapped with cap-i-pota and truffle\u201d, by El Llagut<\/strong> restaurant; or \u201cShrimp stuffed pig trotters\u201d, by Txar3verd<\/strong>. For those stew and bread lovers, here\u2019s two dishes you\u2019ll particularly like: \u201cShrimp suquet<\/em> with cod intestines and chickpeas\u201d by Balandra<\/strong> restaurant and \u201cShrimps with noodles and bread casserole\u201d by Rac\u00f3 de l\u2019Abat<\/strong>. Since we are now in the middle of the cal\u00e7ots<\/em> season, how about this sweet onion and the new Mediterranean<\/strong> queen? El Terrat<\/strong> restaurant has created a \u201cGrilled shrimps tartar, with couscous, cal\u00e7ots chutney and sweet potato\u201d, and Palau del Bar\u00f3<\/strong>, \u201cArtichokes, Ganxet beans, cal\u00e7ot and shrimps suquet<\/em>\u201d. How about a soup? Ares Restaurant<\/strong> offers an \u201cArtichokes with bacon and shrimps soup\u201d.<\/p>\n

Finally, 5 restaurants (AQ Restaurant<\/strong>, Arcs Restaurant<\/strong>, Ca l\u2019Eul\u00e0lia<\/strong>, Restaurant Manolo<\/strong> and Xaloc<\/strong>) have designed superb menus with that little something else, at just 50\u20ac, consisting of a starter, four Tarragona Shrimp<\/strong> main courses, dessert plus half a bottle of wine or cava<\/em> Adernats<\/strong> (one bottle for every 2 menus). For those choosing this top-notch tasting menu, you\u2019ll find \u201cGrilled shrimp and barbeque sauce\u201d by AQ Restaurant<\/strong>; \u201cCod and ink bombs with shrimp cream and stir-fried shrimps and green onions\u201d by Arcs Restaurant<\/strong>; \u201cStir-fried shrimps with whisky\u201d by Ca l\u2019Eul\u00e0lia<\/strong>; \u201cLukewarm shrimp and broad beans salad with Iberian ham crunches and orange vinegar\u201d by Manolo<\/strong> restaurant; or \u201cShrimp Nigiri with Wasabi and Ponzu sauce\u201d, by Xaloc<\/strong> restaurant.<\/p>\n
