Tarragona will welcome, on Friday December 5, the 3rd edition of the Night & Shop; an event designed to push local sales by means of a shopping night that leads to an outstanding Christmas shopping campaign. Around seventy shops have joined the initiative and will offer direct gifts on their sales plus discounts going from a 10% to a 40%. Besides, this year, Night & Shop will coincide with the popular Christmas illumination switch-on, which translates on a number of events that will take place in Rambla Nova.
The Night & Shop by Tarragona will kick off at 8pm and will remain on until midnight. All shops taking part will be offering discounts and special offers. Moreover, associated stores will provide users with free-parking tickets for President Companys, Avinguda Catalunya and Corsini parking lots.
This third edition is introducing some new characteristics: Plaça Verdaguer, for instance, will be the venue for a large ice-skating rink that will remain open during Christmas holidays, closing at midnight on the Night & Shop event. For every purchase, customers will receive a 2×1 ice-skating ticket. The rest will remain the same as in past editions: Rambla Nova will welcome the Casino & Chic area that includes a wheel of fortune, which will provide users with both gifts and discount tickets, plus a photo call for those wishing to take a cool picture. Plaça del Fòrum, in Part Alta, will be focused on Gastro-music, thanks to 8 specially designed ‘tapas’ by 8 different establishments at just 2,5€, and a deejay that will entertain people. Also, users will enjoy some country dancing in Carrer Major, a Chill Out area in Carrer Unió, and a specially designed party in Carrer Governador González.
On the other hand, a double competition will take place both on Instagram and Facebook during the Night & Shop, which asks people to take a ‘selfie’ and upload it tagged as #NST2014. Pictures will be allowed until Wednesday, December 10, at 6pm, with winners, those with the most number of votes on both social networks, being announced at 7pm. First prize is an AVE (high-speed train) ticket for 2 people, one for each social network, to any national destination, awarded by RENFE, plus 5 discount tickets; second prize consists of a dinner for 2 people in Tarragona’s Casino, show included, plus 5 discount tickets; finally, third prize includes 5 discount tickets plus a Night & Shop lot (t-shirt, bag, badges and wine bottle). More discount tickets will also be awarded, which can be used until December 31.
